Afrihost slow and crappy

Is anyone else having problems with Afrihost? It seems quite slow on international and some pages aren't loading correctly.

Just want to see if it's just me.

fine here all day long. been pulling about 4 gig's now without any issues. surfing also fine, must be you ;)
 
Well I changed to my Telkom account and having problems there too, maybe they have screwed up the exchange or something.
 
I'm getting regular "network error's" on some sites today with Afrihost.
 
It's also been problematic to dial up with pppoe, takes a long time. But it must be line problems or something if everyone else is fine.
 
I have Afrihost since November - no any problem, full 384Kbit/s speed. Wish you have the same. :)
 
It has been pretty much non problematic, just this kind of slowness (even a bit unresponsive at times) that I've experienced over the last few days. No major complaints though.
 
i changed to afrihost from telkom and i must say i made the best decision... everything is also fine here

Yep, after a long period of Internet divorce I was on Telscum burning 5Gig Internet usage and then onto Afrihost. It seemed much worse on Afrihost than with Telkom but it seems South African Internet are struggling lately as a whole, even with Seascum capacity on board with Telscum and Neoscum.

Well as I said it has seemed "slow and crappy" for a few days, and this is my only option to find out if it's just me no?

Penguin seems to share my opinion that it is slow.

you did say that both telkom and afrihost isp is giving you the same issue. which means you are getting the same problems saix and is. i would suggest that you reset you router if you have already a tech needs to come and checkout the exchange.

worst case your line as gotten the "rott" inside the exchange line mine all of a sudden did and needed to be reseated on both legs by a techie.

any recent lighting ?
 
I must say. Afrihost is mostly great. But i do realise that the service is slow at times. These "times" normally dont last longer than a minute or so and only happens about once every three days. So yeh it isnt a trainsmash and does not really bother me. I only see this when browsing websites, or atleast it is the most noticable then :) Apart from that minor thing the service is great.
