AfriHost SPAM

The competition email was released as standard communication to all active clients and was not marked as a promotion or marketing email.
 
They're not going as far as saying it was an error, so it was either a genuine mistake or just purposefully done.

I'm completely fine if somebody had a slip up and forgot to check a box, but if it was a conscious decision to ignore users preferences then that's a right a-hole move.

Either way I reported it as spam in Gmail.
 
It might be worthwhile for them to relook some mailer settings?
Gmail flagged mine as spam, so if it wasn't for this thread I would not have seen it at all.

Please check if you do not have the ADSL Trial package. I am busy compiling a list of all clients that have received the email and are not active or they have opted out of receiving promotional emails from us for the Dev team to correct that and apply the necessary restrictions.

You are welcome to send me a PM with the email address used for your clientzone account.

Got the same. Also reported to gmail, hopefully they start marking it on their side too

I've pinged you my email. I don't have a trial package and my credentials dont even work on the portal anymore. Last connected to it in about 2012.
 
And the spam today continues from AH.

tsek!!! I went through the mission of removing the trial account which I last used 10+ years ago and you said my account would be deleted, and yet you still spam me!

Congratulations, [email protected] is now added to our companys blocking list.

Just got one, too. Also did a trial with them around 10 years ago.
