Hi All

Hope you guys can help me out with an interesting problem. I'm on a 6mb 50gig Cap at Afrihost and everything was working fine until Saturday morning when i wanted to play some online game on PS3. I can browse the internet fine, sign into PSN ok but as soon as i try to start a multiplayer game i get kicked out of psn?

The strange thing is that if i reset my router then all is ok, but then a few hours later it goes back to the same thing. I have tried another isp and it works 100%? Spoke to someone and they said it could be packet loss between the exchange and ISP?

I guess my question would be how do i tell if it is packet loss and or how do i fix?

Thanks in advance.

We need more info. Post your line stats (SNR & attenuation) and the results from Zertop's tool. His thread is below:

If no problems are detected, then we can take it from there.

Your connection looks very healthy. It's possible that the PSN was having issues - can you still not play online?

You could look into forwarding ports for PSN, setting up your internet connection again on the PS3 and see what happens when you host a game instead of joining one.

I play GTA: Online on PS3 a fair amount and I've had no issues with Afrihost.

THanks for feedback, I have my PS3 ip in DMZ on router so should be 100% open.

I will test tonight again and update you guys.
