Afrihost throtting torrents ?

hi guys,
during the hours of 7am to 5 pm i see that my torrents are going at 5-8 kb/s but after 5pm they go up to 30-33 kb/s.
is anyone experiencing this ?
Afrihost have stated before that they dont cut speed for torrents but i don't know how to explain this.
the torrents are well seeded so thats not the issue, any thoughts ?

Its not afrihost, but IS itself.
IS throttles P2P during the day afaik.

Weekends are never shaped. Shaping works on peak periods....

Afrihost couldn't throttle torrents even if they wanted to, they do not operate their own ADSL network. The only thing they have control over is billing and authentication, other than that it's all IS.

im in the process of upgrading my line to 4mb..maybe the telkom techs were doing something ?

You would need to restart the router for the resync - or telkom would reset the line dicsonnecting you

before i even restarted my router, my torrent speeds are now at 50kb/s

afraid to restart in case i ''lose'' all that speed!
