Must say lines have been bad since monday, even worse since yesterday and terrible this morning.
Don't understand, Afrihost has always been stable for me but this last week is terrible - shaping is on 24/7 and now Google services are so unresponsive I'm struggling to send emails - Local sites seem fine though
#edit - browsing seems better now, even though shaping still continues.
Have had about 3 hours of unshaped service in 48 hours now.

The shaping on our side has been a bit more aggressive than normal for our Uncapped users. There were multiple major updates pushed through for iOS, OSX and Xbox One, which did result in increased demand on our network.
Your real-time services shouldn't have been affected though. How is your streaming at the moment?
Realtime services feel responsive now, although only about 2mb's on a 4mb's line - never goes past 50% of capacity
Glad it's looking a bit better, not sure if your slow speeds are due to a line issue though
Have you run any troubleshooting with our team?
Well we have 2 - 4mb's lines and I have tried our backup account with another ISP and line peaking at 3.8mb's with them, Afrihost at 2.1 mb's max atm.
So if it was line it would have been on only one line.
Used my Capped Afrihost Account - Line sync's at 8mb's so got a throughput of 7.3mb's.
Hi Afriman, must say the feedback on this thread is making me a tad worried hey.
Besides that I have to speak to my new housemates about costs though before I make a decision.
If I do come back to afrihost i would like to take the bundled 10mbps uncapped account. Which would be the best way to go about this to avoid being double charged (paying telkom and afrihost for my line). Also I need to move during the course next month and I would like to time it in such a way that my internet is working once I get there. Any recommendations? Wait till I get there and have had telkom move my tel and dsl line and then get the bundle or get the bundle first and have them move my telephone line?
Hhmm, that's a bit concerning.
What area are you in?
Rustenburg - but seems to be getting better as the day goes by, getting peaks of 3mb's now.
Sounds promising, I know we're running a stack of tests in the office too. Keep me posted on how things go!
3.8 mb's on both lines - Realtime traffic looks to be back to normal
