Would you be able to test an alternative web browser quickly - such as FireFox - to see if there is any difference.

To access your Modem's DNS Settings, you will need to access your Modem's setup page, and you should see the current DNS settings under the Status page.

I don't see any DNS settings. It's just blank. I'm using an ASUS router.
I see it's working again.

Interesting... If it happens again, can you perhaps try switching the DNS to manual on your ADSL modem, then entering 196.7.7.7 as the primary DNS server along with 8.8.8.8 as the secondary server.

What DNS servers are these? I recently changed my router DNS's to the ones specified on your website. I currently am having a problem with all Google services, and have been for the passed few months.

The best way to get a good comparison is to run the same tests on another network to see if the issues can be replicated.

The primary DNS I provided is the primary Afrihost DNS Server, and the secondary is the Google DNS. I usually recommend using those two to have a bit of redundancy.

You shouldn't be having any issues with your Google Services at the moment, there have been quite a few issues with Chrome itself, and Google Services but other than that, if you switch to those DNS Settings and still have an issue with the Google Services, please let me know!
 
Google and YouTube basically unusable again. What is it that's preventing this from being fixed already :mad:

Which web browser are you using at the moment? Which DNS is your ADSL modem using?

Are you seeing any other drops in speed or increases in latency?
 
Chrome and FireFox have the same issues with Google and YT. I switch accounts and YT streams flawlessly and Google stuff loads instantaneously :( DNS is auto.

Look at that latency, crazy

Download Speed: 3223 kbps (402.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 376 kbps (47 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 396 ms

Can you switch your DNS on your modem to manual, then use 196.7.7.7 along with 8.8.8.8 and see if that makes any difference to the Google Services and latencies.

The boat was good well it lasted, I have jumped out of the boat now with a new boat. No shaping day or night :D :whistle:. Lets see how long will this one last. Anyways Loved you when you it was IS.

I seem to have the same problem, only its intermittently...

Anyways AfriGuy I noticed that the Shaping hasn't stopped for a few days now what the hell? You claim its the demand of the Network ....So if this is how bad the demand is on your network don't you think you should upgrade already? Its fine take our money and shape us all day and night

Well only one thing the shaping was bad. 7am - 12 am. 17hours of shaping everyday. Couldn't take it anymore. Updates took forever and I was paying for 10mb line but only getting 12% of that line most of the time. And I know the depends on demand thing. Well I don't need to depend on the demand anymore.
Before
17 Hours - 12% of my line
7 Hours - 100% of my line

Now
24 Hours - 100% of my line

Funny thing I don't even download that much. 200gb-300gb.
