It's that time of the year again, where Afrihost is practically giving away MiFi devices.

Only pay R398 for our 3G MiFi device and connect to the internet wherever you are, whether it's in a car, out camping or relaxing by the beach!

Please note the following:

Invitation codes may only be used once
This code expires on 2014-01-31
Visit afrihost.com/redeem and follow the steps provided to redeem invitation codes

And here is my invitation codes:

MDEX-7455-C63B-C0FE
MDEX-49C3-8655-B60B
MDEX-55AE-B1E2-5479
MDEX-0894-0009-F4D8
MDEX-DC63-6E35-FD66

Just posting this five but I have 30. PM me for more codes if these have been used.

VernD, suggest you retract those codes asap. Sent one to my brother in law - when he got to the Payment details part of the process - it was pre-populated with my payment method details. He is on a seperate network and his own machine - so no it was not cached or logged onto my account to begin with. He could have easily used my account details.

Have rasied with Afri - and they said they would speak to the developers. Just wondering how many people's details may have been comprimised, or how many will be paying for their 'friends and family' at the end of the month.

Hi all

This is really concerning, there shouldn't be any reason at all that this is happening.
For those that have seen this, please PM me as many details as possible and I'll get this checked out immediately. We take privacy and security extremely seriously.

Your online support guy has copy of my chat. It was Thapelo M who assisted me. Still no feedback from him on the issue however. Just lucky was my brother in law, I fear for the likes of VernD and other persons with good intentions on other social platforms.

May be a few with nasty surprises come next billing cycle.

Suggest that your dev team roll back any transaction where voucher code generator.new offer taken up.payment details = original customer who generated code.payment details.

I'll follow up with him, but please also send me a PM.

I tend to think its a fake CC and that the dev's didn't do a check when accepting that the customer actually entered a CC.

The reason I say this is that I tested with my acc and a colleagues acc with DIFFERENT vouchers from DIFFERENT users and it displayed the same CC details (judging by expiry date).

I have PM'd you though.

Thanks for this, I've already had it passed onto our Dev team.

My payment method is a business current account - these were the details displayed to my brother in law, so no was not dummy testing data that was displayed.

I checked my profile on the clientzone last night; no products have been added to my profile. Will still wait for the invoice though.

AfriGuy I reckon you should organize VernD a complimentary Mi-Fi unit, he tried to do something nice for the community...

As far as I understand, it was only the payment details. i.e. the products will not be added to your profile, but rather to the person's who used the code. You will pay for it tho' if they didn't change the payment details.

Hope this doesn't happen ... :(
