Afrihost vs Telkom vs Mweb (Line)

Hey guys,

Please can some one help me. I have had many problems over the last month with Telkom. Our line is constantly acting up and our speeds have almost halved and latency has pretty much quadrupled. I have my data with Mweb and my line with Telkom.

Telkom never seem to actually fix my line they always have these shortcuts where the line is only stable for a few weeks max and then goes south again.

What are your guys opinions, If I change my line and move it over to Mweb or Afrihost will it be better?
Will there be a bigger chance of my line being stable?
Pro's vs's cons.

Please can you guys let me know as this has been happening throughout this year and it still hasn't been "Properly" fixed.

No and no. The infrastructure will still be owned and controlled by Telkom. Mweb and Afrihost may have the ability to pressure Telkom to improve the service however they have no power to force Telkom to do anything.

I have been waiting 9+ months for Hellscum to fix the ADSL line problem we have. Afrihost can only do so much, and they are very helpful. Hellscum on the other hand...

I know understand your frustration. It's honestly amusing how companies like Mweb and Afrihost who really do care about their customers and do try a lot to help them with their problems are held back by Telkom. A company can't do business because another isn't doing theirs. I look forward to the day a new company arises and gives fellow South Africans an alternative, because honestly I think nothing can be worse then Telkom at this point. We are paying for a service we are not receiving which is essentially a crime.

It all goes through telkom in the end - keep it with them unless you are bundling with an ISP
