Afrihost vs

Hi guys, I'm still browsing the threads - but in case I don't find what I'm looking for "how is your Afrihost 1mb unapped performing?" - mine went to the dogs. At the speed I'm getting they can afford offering uncapped because I'll never actually finish downloading anything.

I'm not going to do the math but doing a Dave Barry-like math going on full steam 24/7 I might be able to fill up a stiffy (or is that a floppy).

I actully had to swap to my Axxess' semi account during the weekend to get anything done.

And I wasn't doing a lot of stuff, a bunch of smallish a/v stuff, and still ftping my WA stuff over to the new ISP, a bit of mail etc.

I just saw someone mentioned a change in the Afrihost T&Cs?

How are the other ISPs doing?

Dude there is an afrihost thread and mweb thread with all the info you need.

wel i must say out of all these new shapped aco****s, i would recommend either Mweb or Axxess, i'm on axxess and find it fine for what i'm paying, the shaping i see comes and goes, but usually after 10pm then things speed up till around 8am the next mornign, and sofar this weekend it was smooth sailing all the way from friday till this morning.

the problem is - that it used to speed up after a certain time, it now just drags along the whole 24 hours
