Afrihost What's going ON?

So I have really been trying to be patience with this, but it's really now more than an annoyance than anything else.

I have a mobile contract took that last month 10Gb and then used the R99 per month to go double up to 20GB a month

Now I also have a Vodacom BC Lite 40Gb Contract that is costing me R50 more for 20GB more data than I'm getting, so why did I get this in the first place because the 4G network over here on MTN was awesome 40MB download speeds and 20ms pings amazing and great for gaming.

I just did a speed test and my speeds was 0.65MB and 295ms download speeds and been like this every night for days/weeks now, I cannot play any games on this connection so for the past week maybe even longer I had to switch to vodacom and play on my vodacom account.

I have reported this issue the last report was done on Monday/Tuesday and I have not even heard back from Afrihost and when I do hear back from them it seems any problem you gonna have afrihost can't really solve for you because they only provide you with a mtn case number kinda reminds me of telkom and all there millions of case numbers where they would close the query and just move on.

So can anyone from afrihost actually get back to me with the truth eg MTN has major problem it should be resolved in a month/year/10 years and then simply help me with a refund on the package and we can move on and one day when mtn gets their stuff together I can just get another package, because right now I'm paying for an internet connection that's so slow one could not even call it 4g.

So giving 1gb of data away for the stuff up mtn caused with their network actually does not solve my problem, I would rather you keep the 1Gb and get back to me on the support tickets that afrihost did not bother to answer, I'm still suffering from that mtn outage, thank god for vodacom.
 
I too am having the same problem . When I signed up a year or so ago the service and speed was excellent . Ever since they sold out to MTN it has spiralled downhill
 
Everything is fine - network is 100% - it is your line/connection/equipment.
Please send a traceroute and they will get back to you for another traceroute tomorrow.
But dont forget to pay for the awesome service :-)
 
Yeah continuous problems, and my support tickets aren't even being answered, guess what I'm on vodacom again tonight because afrihost mobile is slower than a turtle.
 
Last week afrihost went down, first time I've had problems with them... Now it's fixed and they've given everyone 1GB extra of data. 1.7 Mb/s on steam and 1.9 Mb/s on speedtest.net (most reliable server >50km from me) Is anyone still having problems?

Yes. I haven't been able to use mobile data on my mobile voice contract since yesterday morning. Tried the sim on different devices. Nothing.
