Some of you will remember the fun you had on New Year's Eve when I raised what appeared to be an accounting problem I had with AFRIHOST. I 'made the call' many many calls. Repeated emails. Awaited numerous 'I will call you back later...'

The problem has not been resolved - they owe me money but I give up I have cancelled with them and I shall have to try another more efficient ISP.

Anyway, would you mind explaining your problem, just for interest's sake.

I think I covered the problem in a rather muddled way on New Year's Eve. Never in my many years of dealing with such matters have I ever encountered such total UNPROFESSIONALISM.

Do you need a way to get your money back? Chat to OutOfTheBox. He wants to sue everyone at Afrihost, probably even the tea ladies.

I undertook to let you know what happened after I had 'made the call'
 
should we all make threads about the things we cancelled or changed ? why not just update the original thread with your original complain ?

Bad service from an ISP is the kind of information I personally would like to know about. Before I switch to another I will use the recommendations I read here to help me make a decision.

can we maby have more info you have told us nothing on why they where bad please explain or else its just another pointless bs thread
 
I am really most surprised at the intolerant responses listed here regarding what I consider to be a well founded complaint against AFRIHOST. I use these forums to learn about broadband and I have learnt much from generous advice I have received.

But this kind of response does not encourage free discussion and enlightenment of a subject which is most difficult for some.

Been dealing with Afrihost for almost 4 years. Shared hosting, adsl, about to get dedicated space with them. Have never had any problems with their service.

Everybody makes mistakes.
