Are others also experiencing that Afrihost via OpenServe has gone for a ball of chalk? Worse than a congested portable toilet at a rock concert!

So it looks like the afrihost IPConnect is congested.

During weekend: 4 100 ms 83 ms 78 ms 169-1-5-250.ip.afrihost.co.za [169.1.5.250]
Now: 4 5 ms 4 ms 4 ms 169-1-5-250.ip.afrihost.co.za [169.1.5.250]

And tech support says I must put off my router for 20 minutes???

I wonder why they think all of their customers are gullible?

Openserve had a major outage affecting all traffic to Teraco they are working on it.

Don't get mislead by member on here defending Arfihost. Long term it will be beneficial for you to leave them. Just check the number of complaints regarding them on this forum to understand.

My alternative is to go to Vuma+Cool ideas. Will do it when I have a payment gap.

I am not defending Afrihost, I am a happy client with Cool Ideas. I am just providing him with the feedback that I have recieved from Cool Ideas.

Please try and post something that is beneficial to this thread next time.

I never mentioned you, and if you can look at all other Afrihost threads, there have been members that jump on and try to defend them, it was a generalized comment. Now I do see how you could have misunderstood my comment, as I meant to say "members" and not "member", and should have probably have said "members on this forum" instead, to provide more clarity.

I see my post as being beneficial to the thread, in regards to leaving Afrihost. The fact that there is multiple threads on the forum regarding the exact same issue, should be noted as well, as other members have complained about the same issues, without there being any outages etc.
