After hours usage?

Holy crap. Must cut back on my drinking. I appear to be logging on after midnight when I should be asleep, lol...
 
I can download upto 30 GB a month using after hours. A lekker feature :)
 
Hmm, well just got another report showing after hours usage, and I know for a fact that I was not on last night/this morning during that 'after hours' period. Not huge usage (6 MB), but if it shows this every night, then it adds up.
 
ok this after hours usage thingie: is it free from 12-8am right?
coz I have been downloading during that time, and i think its reflecting in my normal bw usage instead of after hours one.

tell me: is ALL free during that time or a portion of it?

coz i mus say- i'm loving iburst esp. between 2am and i think 6am... downloads are flying.. like 127 kB/s

It is free if you have the Bubbles special uncapped offering. (else it is discounted dependant on your package).
 
i have the 1Gb account ( they doubled that last year to 2Gb, and then now with mid month top up i get 4Gb per month ) which account is that?
i am not on uncapped i know that..

That would be a Wireless 2 that is discounted 50% during the Midnight hours. This is a free 500MB per gig and you can go up to a maximum of 8GB in total.

If you have the 64k or 128k softcap addon then it is free between 12:00-8:00am, if not then it depends on your package ie if you have a 2 gig package, then 50% of what you use between that time isn't counted.
 
Ah, I'm such an idiot. Kept focusing on the Midnight starting period, then realised that a few mornings this month I logged on before 8, which now finally explains that figure...*sigh*

Hey, on a completely different note (And now for something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!)...wasn't there supposed to be some big announcement from iBurst coming up in March? Am certain I remembered something about that. Or was it just the change in upstream providers, which kinda hasn't worked too well? :confused: Remember, some of us were contemplating whether or not it had to do with Wimax or the such... Or was I drunk again? :(
 
sorry i myself am confused about this free data after hours thing im looking at getting the wireless 15 package but cannot understand how they get to the max free data of 150GB please help

It is the maximum possible data downloaded between midnight and 8am. You have 15GB but burn only 10% of your bucket after midnight. With mid month topup it is 300GB. Even with 2 modems and a perfect signal it is an impossible task.(but many give it a decent go!)
