So, something about the plot...

Yang breaks down. Gets taken to dodgy repair guy. Repair guy has never seen a core like this before. What is this!? A spyware chip!?

Ok.

Takes Yang to museum and it's like they also haven't seen a core like that before. Ooh it's memories! And she's so excited & adamant that Yang be part of their collection as though they haven't had an opportunity like this before.

What gives? Surely this tech is available to anyone with a bit of money and yet they both act like they've never seen this specific tech before the way they're gushing over it. There must be thousands of people with similiar models that break down, or thousands of interested companies who would offer any number of families a few $$$ for their bot. And so much of the movie hinges on this. Feels like I missed something.

I can't really rate it in the movie thread. It felt more like a mood or meditation or something rather than a movie. It was fine, I like some moments in it (the conversation about tea with Yang was nice), didn't really enjoy his conversations with his wife.

Same can be said for a lot of Colin Farrell's films. Also why I'm not crazy about In Bruges. I did like Killing of a Sacred Deer and The Lobster though, even though they're kind of the same way.
