well this is hardly news since we are just a week and a bit from the launch but.... THE CAP IS COMING.

I just heard from someone at wbs that it will be implemented from april 1st (duh) and that they will stop shaping peer to peer as soon as the cap is in place. So get all your big files now while you still can, stock up for the winter, you have 1 week and 2 days left, which means if you download full speed all the time you can do about 72 - 80 gb.

Did u get the price structure for extra usage for us who work on budgets?
 
nope, and no one will tell us till launch either, but so far it looks like we will be able to buy extra Gbs as we need em and there will be other packages with more than 3GB a month
 
hopefully the packages with more than 3 gig a month would be cheaper than actually purchasing more gb. that would encourage people to spend more because they get it for cheaper, like cellphone contracts, the more you spend a month the cheaper the call.
 
Ok. How exactly is this going to work? Say now I exceed my measly 3GB cap. Will I have to pay for the extra bandwidth used at the throttled connection or will the extra charge just apply to extra bandwidth at full speed purchases?
 
you get throttled to 64k after your cap is hit, you don't pay for bandwidth used after that. (dont give them ideas!!!) and you can "top up" with "full speed" again if you want buy purchasing more bandwidth.

How easy that will be, I'm unsure of.
 
i would love to know what counts torward your cap... If they truly want to be the best wireless provider then they should only count for downloads... er... actually the shouldnt have a cap... but hey the world aint perfect.

talk about OFF THE TOPIC, hey but 10 000 hot lesbian's throwing themselves at me is not something i would complain about:D
 
question is, what will you do about it? i would personally die of a heart attack :D
