Hey all,

I have an old school vintage gaming hobby pc with a Geforce 6600GT 128mb GPU, for some reason this GPU does not POST 80% of the time, when it does it runs OK, but I am on the look out for a replacement, do you have any similar in performance cards lying about?

Item Wanted: Decent AGP GPU (not a Geforce mx or equivalent)
Packaging Essential: N/A
Desired Age: Old
Location: CPT
Willing to accept a shipped item: Yes
Ballpark/Budget Amount: Not sure, let's chat.

I should have a ATI 9800Pro somewhere if you are keen.
Always wanted to rebuild a replacement vintage rig for keepsake, but will never get to it. Cant believe its close to 20 years already!

SB Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro also available

Can you tell me what the chipset of the motherboard is? Is it a fairly modern AGP chipset? By which I mean anything newer than a socket A/462 or 478?

If so, I have a Sapphire Radeon HD3650 512MB which you might be interested in.

These newer Radeon AGP cards had built-in AGP to PCI-E bridge so usually won't be recognized in earlier AGP8x slots.

Hi, it's a NForce2 (GA-7N400-L) AGP 8x + AMD XP with 1GB ram, might be keen in that GPU if its compatible.

That was the **** back in the day!

Just recently tossed a Gainward 6800gt. Now Gainward was a good brand in those days!

Unfortunately I don't think it will work. Would have to be NForce3 or newer. A chipset that would have had both AGP and PCI-e options in its day.
