AH 2meg business or 4meg Uncapped?

Hi

So I am a student I work from home, do research and watch tutorial vids on the regular. Second to that I do dl NZBs and torrents (rarely)

During the day I would like seemless streaming to YT and other streaming services and during the night at least above average DL speeds for other things. I was on AH 2meg business when my line was 2meg, since then my line has been upped to 4meg. Given my use case should I just go for 2meg business or is the shaped 4meg OK?

I'm looking for a consistent experience My TI subscription ends soon so I need to think about it.

I tried WA and OW trial accounts, they were so bad so based on that I wont give them a shot. I'll go with the ISP that is the lesser of all evils.

I have the 2mb business uncapped and it is consistent, except for some online gaming on ps4 where i get terrible lag, and my friend who is on 1mb mweb standard does not get any lag whatsoever. But for streaming YT and dl`ing it`s a winner...Wish i could upgrade to the 4mb BU from AH, but the price jump is huge!

If you looking for Business Uncapped then try Axxess:

The 4Mbps is about R100 cheaper and fully unshaped on the same network ;)

I love my Business Uncapped account from Axxess. Will punt it to everybody as I know it works!
 
So, I am on the standard 4 Mbps as of today ..... Will run this for 30days then go onto business for 30 days ...

I know this doesn't help you now, but my thinking is along the same lines as yours .... reason being my son in the same situation as you describe.

They have cool stuff like an Android app. :P

Cancelled my Openweb account moving end March. How do we know that they are exactly the same? ISPs can have same network but different fair usage policies and T&Cs which make the big difference sometimes. Oh and customer support.

Might be old wording or something like that. The accounts run 100% unshaped. My torrents run full speed for the past 2 months ;)

Ah are in the past because they haven't allowed for the free Telkom upgrade. Their prices are almost double what they should be. You may as well try Telkom's 2Meg, despite some shaping. It's even cheaper than AH 1 Meg business.

The upgrade is coming, we must just be patient.

Well, I would prefer them to put it in writing. Not that I don't trust an ISP where I am merely a debit order. ;)

But the quality is also double.

Or haven't you seen how crap the other ISPs have become lately?
