AH time changing

Bid on an item that was listed as "medium(between 30 mins and 2 hours)" earlier today...
next thing i know it is listed as "long(between 2 and 12 hours)", then half an hour later it goes to "short(less than 30 mins)", now its back to "long" again??
wtf??

Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago.

Was less than 8 hours left. Next morning it was still less than 12 hours :eek:
 
If people are actively bidding on the item, the time in the AH gets longer.
What you are discribing sounds a bit different though, maybe a bug?
 
blizz should sort that out, i sat there waiting like like 30 mins (3g bid on shadowcloth) for nothing

have reread your post, AH have always been like that. If an auction is active (i.e. a lot of bids) the time goes up.
 
People bid on items? O.o

If I see something that I want, I click the little button that says buyout! ;)
 
You can score some serious deals looking our for low bid or bid only items. It's a lot more risky though.

Agree'ed. Do any of you run this mod: http://auctioneeraddon.com/ ? It makes the AH a dream to work with and also for finding those bargains.

I need 20 Large Prismatic Shard and I've been sitting watching the AH for the last 4 days, I'm not paying the 25 GP each which is my servers asking price right now :mad:

25g is a bargain ;)

They go for nothing less than 30 - 35g each

yea, thats what the original poster was complaining about.

He bids on auction, 30 min left
He comes back 30 min later, changed to longer time
30 min he comes back again, 30 min left

etc etc etc

And yea, I picked up 20 lesser bloodstone for like 23silver. gave 4 to my main toon for a quest and broke the rest up into 4 bundles and sold them for a few gold each :)

25g is the minimum starting price on bigs with no buyout. Guess I'll have to wait awhile for them to come down again.

I've personally never noticed the going up and down of time either though. I always place my items on for a few silver less than the lowest asking price, so the sell pretty fast. Usually I also only buy items just before I go to sleep, So I bid and see if I am lucky when I wake up in the morning. I will check it out tonight though as that does sound irratating

Yeah me too never really use bid you can get bargains that why but most of the time i just get my deposit back :(

??? I don't understand? A transaction summary appears with every item sold or the item is returned to your mailbox.

I have never just received my deposit back (Well not that I am aware of anyways as I sometimes just dump a ton of stuff on the AH, wait till the stuff expires and redump it. I do not keep an inventry of the items I AH)
