AI Generated / Assisted Music

Udio has started taking subscriptions and now offer an "inpainting" feature on paid subscriptions. I'll probably play around with it a bit and see how different it is from the free service everyone has been using up to now.

I'm guessing that it allows you to try and replace a dud vocal or some such?

So... after some extensive testing, Suno is better for generating more "serious" music and Udio is good for memes and humour (in my opinion).
Yes, the audio quality in Udio is somewhat better especially as far as the vocals are concerned, but that's useless if you don't get the type or style of music that you prompt for.
I actually started off with a legit, serious attempt for a somewhat serious rock song on Udio and somehow, because it seems to ignore the prompts I gave it, it turned into a Tenacious D style over the top parody song and I just ran with it. Jack Black would be proud... especially with that guitar solo...

So here, without further ado, is Metal Enough (Sorry not Sorry) made with Udio.

[Verse 1]
I know you're not home, 'cause I hear the bass
From your kids' car stereo, shaking this place
It's rattling my windows, it's thumping the walls
It's a wonder the whole house doesn't just fall

[Chorus]
Dear neighbour, oh where have you gone?
Left me here in the chaos of your offspring's song
Dear neighbour, did you flee far away?
'Cause your kids' party is turning night into day

[Verse 2]
I guess it's a celebration, or maybe just life
But the soundtrack to their joy cuts like a knife
They're living it up, while I'm losing sleep
Counting the hours till the silence I'll keep

[Chorus]
Oh ho oh
Oh Dear neighbour, oh where have you gone?
Left me here in the chaos of your offspring's song
Dear neighbour, did you flee far away?
'Cause your kids' party is turning night into day

[Bridge]
Oh Neighbour,
I imagine you're somewhere, peaceful and still
While your kids conquer the night with their decibel thrill
If you could only see, the mess they've made
In the melody of their youth, my patience frays
Dear Neighbour...

[Chorus]
Dearest neighbour, oh where have you gone?
Left me here in the chaos of your offspring's song
Dear neighbour, did you flee far away?
'Cause your kids' party is turning night into day

[Outro]
So I pen this letter, dripping with charm
Hoping it finds you, away from the harm
Of your kids' loud existence, right, right next door
Dear neighbour, here's wishing for peace once more
Oh neighbour
Here's wishing
Once more
