Okay trying some new things like moving away from suno created videos.
Using this from now on. Also trying out new tags and stuff

Problem I don't want to spend 50 hours creating videos nor pay more to create videos so the best solution is to use a music visualizer

https://mymusicvisualizer.netlify.app/ it is free and offline.

Anyways new song using the new style for a drum and bass song.

Not too bad still messing with whistling, this time added some vocoder singing, this time had more control on the whistling part has more range, what to see if I can physically chop the whistling instead of using the usual snare, to build use the whistle to do that, also want to try and stretch the whistle and make it more synth like, suno has a hardtime keeping up, and sometimes just gives up and uses a flute lol

It is a nice beat and all, what I don't like most whistling songs are peppy and upbeat, need to see if I can brute force another type of emotion like sad or angry or whatever is needed.

The last of the whistling songs, wanted to see if I could give the whistling a sad/angry mood and emotion. Not bad, had to brute force my way to this point. Was totally worth it.

I don't keep my tags on songs, the intention isn't gatekeeping information, but rather I want to have that originality I had spend several hours slogging through to see what works getting to this point. The description says enough about the song, the lyrics and tags is mine take quite awhile to setup and test.

Here is the full lyrics with tags and everything as an example how I have to set up a song. Learning quite a bit of new techniques

[Human Whistling – Whistler A – mid-high pitch – aggressive tone – pitch bends – heavy chopping – staccato bursts – stereo left – distorted + delay + reverb]
(steady angry lead pattern, sharp bursts, snarling phrases)

[Human Whistling – Whistler B – high pitch – piercing – microtonal slides – extreme chopping – stuttered triplets – stereo right – echo + feedback + reverb]
(chaotic counter phrases, slicing around A)

[Female Vocal – soft, airy – mid pitch – heavily processed – vocoder + granular – reverb + delay]
“I feel it break inside me”
“shadows stretch where hearts collide”

[Human Whistling – Whistler A – mid-high pitch – rapid staccato – pitch modulation – tempo-synced delay]
(aggressive bursts layered over glitchy kick and hi-hats)

[Human Whistling – Whistler B – high pitch – sliding microtones – triplet 1/32 bursts – stereo sweep – layered distortion]
(countering A with chaotic spikes, tense intervals)

[Female Vocal – harmonized – rising pitch stack – formant shift – echo feedback]
“pull me closer, push away”
“anger burns in silent waves”

[Human Whistling – Whistler A – mid-high pitch – chopped 1/16 notes – staccato glides – sidechain compression]
(driving sequence, sharp punctuations, almost yelling through pitch bends)

[Human Whistling – Whistler B – high pitch – rapid triplet bursts – extreme pitch slides – stereo ping-pong – reverb + delay]
(overlapping, weaving tension, accentuating emotional spikes)

[Break Section – slower, mournful]
[Human Whistling – Whistler A – elongated mid-high notes – pitch wobble – dark reverb – minimal chop]
(sad, anguished phrases, like sighing)

[Human Whistling – Whistler B – faint high pitch echoes – sparse microtonal slides – fading stutter]
(reverberating, mournful, still tense)

[Female Vocal – minimal – airy – mid-high pitch – granular + vocoder – long delay]
“every whisper cuts the night”
“every echo steals the light”

[Build Section – tension rising]
[Human Whistling – Whistler A – mid-high pitch – rapid chopped bursts – aggressive pitch bends – sidechain]
[Human Whistling – Whistler B – high pitch – triplet 1/32 bursts – sliding microtones – stereo sweep – layered distortion]
(interweaving call-and-response, tension peaks)

[Female Vocal – rising intensity – layered harmonies – vocoder + formant shift – rhythmic gating]
“closer, closer, can’t escape”
“the heart shouts, the soul reshapes”

Learned a bunch this past few weeks, with regards to tags and musical effects. Wanted to see how much I can impact the result with regards vocal octaves and give it more emotion and introduce vocal flaws, restrain it.

This is the end result. Pretty impressed overall, took over 200 credits to fine tune the voice, musical style and testing different vocal octaves to get just the right melancholy with that human like quality.

I created another voice model - this time applying a bit more compression and grit to my voice as I recorded the samples. Testing it, I think it turned out pretty darn great for classic hard rock style music. I was so happy with it that I created this animation to go with the actual song - with an LucasArts Full Throttle animation style. The song has that toe tapping hard rock vibe that just goes so well with long weekend jols :)

Cool ))
Going to also create one this weekend.

Getting rid of letting users know how many credits are left >> dofness

I am really proud of this one took a few hours of tweaking and experimenting.

This is how the lyrics have been setup, I will be using it as a new voice, it is perfect style for me. I always liked dark grunge.
Falling through shadow veins [deep raspy voice, intimate, slightly behind beat, subtle breathiness, dry reverb, minor pitch drift] [Em – G, palm-muted low strings]

Twisting in silent chains [sustained rasp, slow vibrato on vowels, low-mid layering, subtle analog tape saturation] [Em – G, palm-muted]

Cold breath in empty halls [half-whispered, soft dynamics, tiny delay on consonants, intimate mic distance] [Em – G, palm-muted]

Waiting for the last call [slightly pushed, tension build, airy tail on final consonant, reverb bloom] [Em – A, let ring slightly]

Pre-Chorus
Cracks in the walls we made [dynamic lift, raspy doubled layers, subtle chorus effect, mild stereo widening] [C – G, open strum]

Echoes in dark parade [stretched vowels, soft inner/head layering, consonant delay, slightly forward in mix] [A – C, open strum]

Pull me under, don’t resist [deep growl inflection, moderate saturation, slightly compressed, short reverb] [C – G, soft strum]

Fade into the abyss [whispery tail, airy low layer, slow fade, subtle pitch modulation] [A, let ring, slow fade]

Chorus
Embrace the blackened sky [full raspy push, layered double, strong mid-range focus, parallel compression, slight vocoder texture] [Em – Bm, full distortion, strum all strings]

Shadow veins running dry [sustained rasp, minor vibrato, airy tail on vowels, delayed consonants] [C – A, sustain chords]

Hold the fire, break the chain [intense near-shout, layered harmonics, stereo doubling, subtle delay] [Em – Bm, palm-mute start, let ring end]

Whisper all your pain [stretched soft rasp, slow fade, low-level ambient pad underneath, slightly behind beat] [C – A, open strum, let fade]

Verse 2
Fingers trace forgotten lines [intimate raspy, soft mid-layer, subtle analog warmth, airy consonants] [Em – G, palm-muted]

Memories in faded signs [slightly detached, slow vibrato, low doubling, dry reverb] [Em – G, palm-muted]

Hearts collide in muted screams [pushed dynamics, raspy growl, consonant emphasis, short delay] [Em – G, slightly louder strum]

Caught between the spaces in dreams [airy tail, stretched vowels, soft inner layer, slight pitch drift] [Em – A, let ring]

Bridge / Guitar Hook
Gaze into fractured light [soft raspy whisper, airy tail, slow vibrato, subtle stereo delay] [G – D/F#, clean lead line or slight overdrive]

Pull apart the quiet night [layered inner/head, minor pitch drift, intimate, short reverb] [Em – Cadd9, lead fills, slides, sustain]

Strings of tension hum and sway [sustained rasp, stretched consonants, parallel compression, airy low layer] [G – D/F#, overdriven arpeggio]

Lost inside the gray [whispery fade, slow tail, low-level reverb, slightly behind beat] [Em – Cadd9, let ring, soft ambient pads underneath]

Bass sounds Schweet.

It was fine just where it was. Let’s hope they don’t go full Microsoft haha
I am on their discord channel they do seem to have brain farts ideas, lately discovery on suno is has gotten worse...

The one I am currently working on now....this song actually hits much harder.....

yeah What I like about it, it isn't in your face, nor is it grating on the ears like some grunge. Setting up the the vocal octaves is a game changer for me, took lots of experimenting, you get a lot more emotional range now. changing the pitch works wonders as well....

Lol the voice name for the band is called Romancing Death.

Concur.
Some stuff is truly way too loud. All that happens is you lose all the dynamic range.

I have tried some industrial before, nothing quite hit the mark for me. Honestly sometimes hard to get that right blend, pretty hard to control every bit. This is just the right blend, want to see what it does with a more upbeat tune.

The hardest part for me is getting the right voice, suno almost never gets it perfectly how I imagine it....or describe it.

Something I tested earlier today, was voice control, I found if you add tags to your lyrical lines and restrict the octave range you can get better control, otherwise suno just fcks up with their own interpretations.

That is why actually did tests the past few weeks with it, before actually attempt to do something serious, otherwise it will just sound like the same old, same old.

So pretty happy to finally hit the mark and sweet spot.

Yeah, getting something that feels right/done is basically: lots of credits ))
My biggest gripe on occasion is mostly getting suno to use my backing tracks properly and not go too crazy on the key changes, like some desperate attempt to middle 8 a track just because it's in the formula ( grr )

So having more control over the vocals is great. Shared your song to a few people.
Those vocals sound even better on the nearfields ))
