Still blending genres and playing around with Suno Studio... Never would have thought a Spaghetti Western would work as a club dance track but here you go...

Quality wise it's decent/catchy enough. Just too generic sounding to moi. Best part is the lyrics. Not mine, but I would like to get some feedback on this one:
It's for someone not on this forum. - Looking more for feedback on technical aspects, so ignore the genre if possible.

Thank youLove it! Very, very cool!![]()
Just love this song. Also the imagery of 'standing out in the rain.' It really highlights the idea of showing up for someone even when it’s uncomfortable or when everyone else has already walked away. Thanks for sharing it.Not mine, but I would like to get some feedback on this one:

Please never stop. Love this!
I agree, quality wise it seems fine, style wise not quite my cup of tea.Quality wise it's decent/catchy enough. Just too generic sounding to moi. Best part is the lyrics.

If you are going to use suno, @borro @OnlyOneKenobi and myself learned the hard way to do things. So if you can before getting straight in to it. Learn all you can about how the system works first, tags, styles and such we did this via experiments. Now you've got me stuck on Suno! Love your tracks! Truly!![]()
Thanks for all the tips. Been on Suno for a while but most of my music is a bit sad and haven't experimented much with it, but will definitely go and listen to your tracks. I prefer listening to other artists tracks more than creating my own. Maybe one day I will feel good enough again to write something inspirational like you. Appreciate the tags.txtIf you are going to use suno, @borro @OnlyOneKenobi and myself learned the hard way to do things. So if you can before getting straight in to it. The trick with suno is you have to be extremely specific on what you want, you only have a 1000 characters to describe, mood, style, voice, tempo even some technical aspects of the song you are creating this is where lyric tags come in. Delay, reverb, pitch, side chaining, panning
It will make the difference between a generic and great song.
Personally I am impartial to hybrid experimental grunge, alternative, indie rock and soft rock. I like my EDM it is the style you can experiment with the most

Suno is very much a fill in the blanks system if you don't tell it exactly what you want, it will default to a generic arrangement that is "safe" so you need to specific. It is okay to start out with generic songs, best advise try adding a new tag or new effect with each song. At first get suno to do your lyrics(if you don't write your own) and such, it is getting better, but it is nowhere near as powerful as using chaptgpt. I use suno in conjunction with chaptgpt, it quickly tags lyrics and can write my technical song descriptions faster than I can. Once you have setup prompt reply parameters it becomes easier.
With chatgpt, I generally give it my lyrical ideas, specific lines ect if I have any, set my mood, style tempo, instruments and techincal aspects I want the song to focus on.
Downside is people that don't have an understanding of AI music just assume it is all low effort, sad reality most of it is low effort prompt generation. The downside if you want to move on from the usual AI generated to AI assisted, you need to learn about the nuances of music and technical aspects of music.
At first AI can assist with that and is perfectly valid solution but you should really learn what each effect does with experiments and you will burn through a lot of tokens at first, which is perfectly normal.
It isn't something you will get right overnight but eventually you will develop a good sense and ear.
It is all about intentions, about what you want to convey in the song, do you want to let the listener feel unsettled, happy, sad what musical instrument will convey that the best, drum beats, do you want 1-2 beat, a frenzied beat ect. It is a bit hard to explain but you develop a 6th and 7th sense, okay I want a song about being paranoid, what style, tempo, and instrument will best work to give the listener that feeling
For example

The latest tag list to work with, it is up to date for v5 generation, so it doesn't include newer tags for 5.5. Overall just have fuT
Sounds is great )I've been working on this one for a while. I'll probably EQ a bit more in Reaper, as there is only so much one can do in Suno Studio. But I think it's "good enough". Once again, happy with my voice model in this style. I'll probably do a video clip for it too at some point.

Reaper is a bit more accessible in my opinion, compared to the more hard-core DAWs I've seen such as Ableton and whatnot. Price was also reasonable compared to the pro stuff (yeah there's a free option too), which makes sense for me as I'm still learning as I'm going along.Sounds is great )
How are you finding reaper?
Want to give it a try sometime.
But I’m so used to audition it’s like second nature almost. Sometimes even prefer it to FL Studio when just recording simple overdubs and editing on the fly.
But I think it’s probably good to try reaper again( long time since I checked it’s features)
Never liked Suno studio, still too Mickey Mouse at present.
