AI Generated / Assisted Music

Are the lyrics yours? I really love that chorus.
Thank you...

Yeah, I decided when I set out on the AI music thing that the "Blue Scorpio" song lyrics would always be my writing paired with melodic rock / metal music as that fits my vibe and probably the most true to my character.

The other stuff is still me but more experimental and for those I'll sometimes lean on ChatGpt or an LLM to write those.

I use chatgpt as well. But I give clear direction, of what exactly I want, the mood the topic and specific lyrics, what it should be about, what the choruses and verses should contain, from there I tighten it up or clean the lyrics as needed, for my specific persona I am working on needs extremely short verse lines often hard to get the right flow. But yeah I have specific ideas for what it needs to be about and tell chatgpt I want this and that in the lyrics. Create the first song and then tweak from there lyric wise. I don't just go and randomise lyrics

For this one I already had a fleshed out idea, theme and tune in mind and specific keywords I wanted. For this specific persona I am going from a dark place to slowly building up to a redemption of the persona in the songs. It isn't just a ramdom bunch of songs, I have a story in mind. I think I am getting a decent handle of things.

So yeah, personally, I don't have issues with people using ChatGPT or other AI tools to write lyrics. Like I said, I use it often for the experimental or humorous stuff, especially for comedic songs on topics like a song complaining about the neighbour in an alpine-swiss style song with yodelling vocals. Or when I want to make a funny song about not being able to find a parking space. Or not wanting to mow the lawn. I let the AI handle some of that because I can't quite make something substantial out of such a mundane topic, but I still guide and refine, and re-write most those outputs with (or without) ChatGPT. And then there's the more personal stuff which usually I write myself... which is why I created two "identities" to separate the more personal and the fun stuff.
Funny thing is, lately that line has become a bit more blurred and from time to time I can't decide whether a particular piece should be a more "personal" project or a "fun" one. In the end, I guess they're both me, but I'll generally get more flack when something is written or co-written by AI.

There is definitely a difference between, write me a song and write me a song with these specific details and feeding it specific data. Actually have no problem with either.

Have my 3 redemption songs, but waaaay tooo clean, looking for a way to transition into each one, love, partying habits, and inner peace.....have to go think about how I want to tie it altogether. They still have some dark melody elements that is fine, I don't want them to be to chipper..... Lost is paradise sort of a transition song, before these. Order is messed up lol

Done with the emo chick Lol

Testing out New persona (pop rock, raspy voice.) Took a few tries to lock her down to how I wanted her. not sure I will do a lot of songs here....want some different for a change

I like the changes

Yeah was just flash of an idea, while working on something else and gave it a shot. chatgpt gave a rough cut and from there I tweaked and changed stuff.......the original is actual "ek is in my "P" in and every other line pretty much had fck in it, so had to clean it up considerably and change some words and add new lines and remove/replace stuff suno couldn't pronounce right, which is quite a lot actually.

A kempton park jol. I am from kempton park, they use to call us tappit valley due to all the drop outs attending Rhodesfield technical school there at the time. Bought back a lot of memories from my younger partying days there, mostly a bunch of low class common tappits on a weekend, looking for a fight and who the can beat up.

if Benoni and Boksburg is the motherland, Kempton is the factory and showroom floor

If you read the original would make a sailor blush, had to make it way way way cleaner than the original, burned through 120 credits just to get the right tune, words and song....

For anyone that has hard time with tags and stuff

You can setup up the tags as follows.

I use to embed tags directly at specific lines, if you need specific effects and stuff. Still do especially if you need to switch between female and male vocals on a per line bases. But if you use the specific tag that suno accepts you should get better overall results and accuracy

So, I was feeling extra adventurous today and actually sang the first verse myself, covered it in Suno. Then, added the rest of the song and let Suno figure out the melodies for those sections. Lyrics all mine, not particularly deep but I was mostly playing with the sound this time rather than the words.

"Crazy"

This is really very good. You say you sung the first verse - is that voice AI or part you? I am doing to know what you sound like now. I do really like your song.
