I started with prototype theory long ago. Cased-based learning effectively. But that can only really solve problems based on previous knowledge and exposure. Currently I am working on a Self-Awareness based system. Similar to what Zuckerberg tried just more to deal with Dementia, and how to overcome it.

That's generally not what is meant these days - well, at a high level prototypes and case based learning are be broad enough to cover what is being done to day, and self awareness may be emergent (especially with RNN's), but the expertise that are sought after currently, are those with the ability to build and train large systems that give good predictions, classifications or clusterings and can do it at scale. Usually these are people with expertise in machine learning algorithms, distributed computing, maths and statistics.
