Sounds like you have already contracted a bad case of stupidity. Stop being so ignorant.

Firstly you may get "HIV" from certain bodily fluids, "AIDS" is merely a set parameter or level of your CD4+ lymphocyte count if it falls below that level you have "acquired immune deficiency syndrome". HIV is the virus and AIDS is a description of how HIV affects the body.

Secondly discriminating and revealing someones private HIV status is unethical and wrong, your workplace is either filled with children or uneducated lemmings.

Lastly be more afraid of ebola, just so you know if you even LOOK at someone with ebola you'll get ebola too and have a 100% chance of dying....
 
Besides that chances are the person in question is HIV-free and everyone else he thinks looks "normal" are the positive ones.

Or with his level of stupidity and "clean" living is probably HIV positive himself.
 
Get him/her fired immediately. Don't shake hands or get too close, judge him/her based on the fact that he/she is so stupid to get infected, point fingers, tell your boss you feel uncomfortable with such an individual in your office.

This! And also, I hope you inform the individual concerned that someone is spreading his personal affairs around the office. It's disgusting.

And really, my best friend who lived with us for many years was HIV+. We all gave him plenty hugs and kisses including my children, while he was dying...drank from the same cup, used utensils that he had used etc etc. you just need to educate yourself properly.

On a serious note though, it simply is none of your business. Just maintain the levels of hygiene that you would normally do and you will fine (like not touching blood, not sharing needles, avoiding the temptation of ingesting large amounts of semen)

If he takes the elevator, you take the stairs.
Buy him a giant bubble if you're his secret santa this year.
Avoid using the same shops he uses. Especially the fitting rooms. You don't want to try the same jeans he tried, do you? Do you?!

It's 2014 and we have supposedly educated and urban living people asking questions like this? If you were serious about understanding HIV/AIDS you would have Googled this and had your answer within a few seconds. Instead you had to come and prove to everyone your staggering level of ignorance. Is it an attention thing because both you (OP) and I know that mybb is not a dedicated HIV/AIDS awareness or information site and not the best place for information.

Best you report this person spreading rumours because your colleague may be perfectly fine and who knows how many other people he has told.

Do it for yourself - research and read before coming off like a caveman
