AIM DVD Player

I know this is rather random, but my girlfriend's sister's AIM DVD player doesn't work. So I offered to take it home open it up and have a look inside.
Apparently her sister had a temper and threw a fit and hit or threw it with or at something lol

It switches on the display comes up, if you push open it displays open tray and close display closing, but the tray doesn't open.. It says loading as well when tray is "closed".
There is no noise from a motor or anything trying to open the tray.
I opened it up and looked, but everything seems fine, no obstructions.

I just thought i would ask here, as maybe others have had a similar problem, or any pointers or suggestions might help.

Chances are you can get it fixed but all the hassle is definitely not worth it considering that player probably costs somewhere in the region of R300-400.

OT: Was pleasantly surprised when I managed to play DiVX discs on an AIM player this year/

Yeah, saw them advertised at Pick 'n Pay for R299 I think.

2. Swap the chassis of the old for the new
3. Return working player to amazed woman
4. GF's Sister sees you in a different, attractive light
