Ok so I checked the sand filter lid o-ring and its fine. I also set the multiport valve to bypass so water flows back into the pool with going through the filter.Unions, sand filter o-ring, pump housing lid o-ring, pump housing lid, shaft seals, diffuser o-ring. I would check it in that order.
Are you losing water at a more rapid rate or any visible signs of a leak?
Does it happen with the pool cleaner disconnected also? I know obviously you won't be able to really tell if suction drops without a pressure gauge but does the amount of air under the lid and bubbles decrease if the cleaner is disconnected?
Checked the pool cleaner pipes and all good - also disconnected it from the weir so water flows directly from the weir.
Checked the pump housing lid - no cracks and o ring fine. The basket at the pump and weir is clean.
Checked the union and o-ring before the pump and its fine.
Closed the valve so water does not flow to the solar panels and goes right back to the pool after the pump.
Sprayed soapy water on all the joins and don't see any air being sucked in.
Also the pool is not loosing water and I do have a cover so water level is not dropping.
Next steps would be to check the seals on the pump itself.
