Air Mobile still down

Hi.

@Afrigirl, @AfriFella , @AfriGuy , I see on your Network Status page it says Mobile was down yesterday, but it's up now. However, in the last three days I haven't been able to connect to Air Mobile once. It's still down for me.

It show's its connected to MTN-SA, Full signal, can make and receive phone calls / regular SMS, but no sign of LTE / 4G / 3G etc.
 
I deactivated data roaming on the MTN app and turns out it deactivates all data even when in SA.
I was messing around with those settings on it Wednesday night, but since I'm connected to wifi I didn't notice till I left home yesterday morning and it coincided with the Airmobile downtime notification so I thought it's related.

I just came from MTN. They said somebody did a SIM swap on my number. Apparently it is done via your system, so there isn't anything they can do?

We don't have powers to do sim swap on the MTN system at all. The person at MTN that told you that lied to you.

We can supply replacement simcards but the sim swap can only be done by you or MTN. I would suggest contacting MTN again or their fraud line for assistance for them to reverse the sim swap.
