I've installed 3 of them, Rocket with 17dbi 5Ghz Sector... very powerful and getting about 40-50mbps pure throughput between two sites with the same gear, and about 5km apart. Very good speed considering it's size, price and the fact that its sector-sector

Thanks acidrain for sharing your experience, interesting is that with AirOS V v5.0.2-RC5 ?
Auto ACK off ? Manual/Auto - Distance set to 10% more than the distance
AirMax enabled ?
What channel width did you 10, 20 or 40 Mhz ?
When you have a chance can you conduct an iperf test ?

Certainly good value for money as you said compared to carrier grade kit

REF:
Change ACK value manually via SSH

Installed some Nanostation M5 with one NLOS link thru a tree, and managed to get -65dBm signal

If you ssh into the Wireless device iperf is already installed all you need to do
to test your wireless link is on the remote link start iperf in server mode
# iperf -s -P10 and on your local NSM5 # iperf -c or connect your laptop
to the Nanostation and run jperf (graphical view) with 10 parallel streams.

Dual mode is a test option -d switch (Do a bidirectional test simultaneously)

Added Image for NLOS from Station to AP
