AirPods Pro broken. Will iStore replace?

Oh, she did say they were out of warranty but they were replaced as they were part of the program for the known faults. I also told them I got them from Singapore duty free so they didn’t mind about that.

So it's Waterfront, Canal Walk and Claremont iStores that's the problem it seems

To be fair there are probably many other factors. The first lockdown looming (and a packed store) was probably the major one in my case.

Nope, the friend I mentioned with the same issue went to Somerset Mall, he’s was still in warranty and they refused to do anything.

They really couldn't have been more helpful at Somerset Mall. Mind you, when I introduced myself and the problem to the technician, I told her that I'd contacted Apple and they told me they have a replacement policy in place and to take them to an Apple Accredited Dealer for testing and replacement if they are faulty. So I did actually lay it down that I "knew" what I was talking about. And I had the link that was posted here detailing the specifics all ready on my phone to show them if they argued.

iStore's Core directive is by default to say no to anything including a warranty claim.

Go directly to Apple Support and they'll usually push it through to the store or even send you new ones directly.

Yup the very fact that you mentioned already clearing it with Apple is probably what pushed it through for you without resistance as they know they won't win that fight.

They rely on the pushover customers to get away with no lifting a finger.

Interesting. Imma try to get mine replaced. Bought it in USA, noticing crackling started in one of the AirPods Pro if it’s touched whilst ANC or Transparency is enabled. Matches the description in the replacement service announcement.

The replacement scheme was meant to end this month but Apple have extended it for another year. Even though, I’d still get in early in case the istore people are behind on the news.

Thanks I took mine to DigiCape, I went to iStore as I was passing by but I realize did not appreciate the way they treat people especially regarding such expensive gear. DigiCape, respect. Confirmed that replacement is being issued.

Hi. Can anyone please help or guide me on how returns works to EBucks store? I bought airpods v2 in March and they just stopped working. Don’t know what happened to them. Should the repair go to the istore? Should I return them to EBucks shop? How does one do returns to EBucks shop? Or any other feedback would be appreciated.

My pro's just did something similar in the left ear. 3 months old. But I bought it from takealot and they took it back no questions.

When I googled the error it said what OP said about it being a known issue from models made before October 2020 and apple will take it back.

However we know how rotten Core is locally. You can try em but alternatively maybe see if WeFix can repair it?
All purchases have a 6 month warranty by law
