Bought one of these to allow me to play music from my phone through wifi to my hifi.

It worked very well. Once set up, the control panel on the phone allows to choose to play music through the hifi by changing the AirPlay setting from iPhone to Airtry-MR.

I then did home renovations and didn't have the hifi functional for a month. During this period I upgraded iOS. I had to initiate the Airtry receiver again, link to home wifi etc. It shows once again as an option in the control panel, but after about 5 seconds reverts back to the iPhone speakers.

So is it possible that the iOS update doesn't allow for this device to work anymore? Anything else I can try like a setting somewhere that must enable the use of external speakers through wifi?

I tried with the iPad, no difference. A friend used it with his Samsung and it worked, so no problems with my connections to hifi or the wifi settings.

So much better to play Apple Music through hifi than the phone!

If I may ask, where did you buy the Airtry, it looks like an awesome gadget to have.
