Hi all.

I've seen the Aiwa TVs on Takealot for a decent price. Anybody know what the quality is like? I read somewhere that it's not the same as the Aiwa that made HiFi's in the 90's.

Aaaaand go!

It's distributed by Nuworld (JVC and Telefunk), there's a catalogue on the Nuworld website, so it's rebranded tv's

It's going to be like JVC, Sansui, Telefunken, Blaupunkt and the like. I've seen JVC STY TVs plus Sansui and and matching types just different brands

Hisense, Samsung or LG are the only considerations IMO when looking for a good TV.

Aaaaand go!

If you're going to stick it on the wall of your bar and look at it through beer goggles, 4 grand for a 50" picture is good value.

I wouldn't get one for the lounge.

Perfect. Thanks all. I see Sinotec generally comes with a good guarantee. I've had a Hisense which has served me well. Would likely stick to it.

Anybody know where to get the best prices on them?

Seen the Sansui's , they not that bad. Good for a bar :D

Not that great, bought a 32" last year for the bedroom, the blacks were blocky and the settings are very limited. It's been replaced with a 50" Hisense that is far far better.

I'm not sure on the newer Sinotec but the one I had ten years ago was fantastic for it's price. From looking at Game and Makro and fiddling with the TVs they don't seem so bad.
