Anyone watch the game? I missed it but heard it was a very good game for the Warriors.

I saw the scoreline when I eventually realised I need to be watching. Scoreline 3-0 to Ajax.

Iyo..what a cracker of a game..especially the last two goals...they just blindsided pirates with they counter attacks...them Ajax boys run the entire pitch and they just started toying with pirates..they were just good in attack and defensively ...and Thulani Serero was just on fire...very good prospect for the future..now if only chiefs could sort out they defense and strategy or they will get slaughtered by Ajax in the Charity Cup..but as they say chiefs have big match temperament...

Ajax played a great game, and really showed up the Pirates defense. Ajax still have 2 tough games though, away to both Sundowns and Chiefs.

Thulani Serero is a good player with a very promising future yes. From the sounds of it, it seems as if Ajax gave Pirates a footballing lesson.

If Ajax can win against Sundowns, they should be able to take the league this season.

Was Doutie playing last night?

Doutie, did not play yesterday. I was at the Stadium and it was totally amazing. Pirates were siging and dancing as we walked in, but after the 1st goal, silence. 2nd goal despair, 3rd goal half the supporters walked out. Ajax played some nice passing football and it paid off.

Now for Ajax to improve on there away form and the league should be ours. Serero was definitely Man of Match for me.

But now the question is how long is he going to stay at Ajax and will he actually play for SA. Because Cape Town based players don't usually start and fade after a while. But that a discussion on its own

Steven Pienaar, Quinton Fortune, Benni McCarthy, Terror Fanteni to name just a few - none of these players for Gauteng teams before playing for SA. In fact all of them played for Cape Town teams - not so?

True, but how much of these players has seek greener pastures away from Cape Town. Not saying its wrong what they are doing, but would be nice if they can keep the talent here. Either they move up to Joburg or overseas. But is Ajax really not that big that they can't afford the same wages as what Pirates or Chiefs can offer.

I think that he's going back to Ajax Amsterdam at the end of the season, for another trial. As for CT based players, not sure if there's really much truth to that rumour.

Make Ajax all Bafana Bafana!!!!

Big joke. There's a huge difference between club football and international football. Many players cannot make that step up. Firstly, Ajax are very bad travellers. How would they win games outside of Cape Town? How could they possible travel to West or North Africa and come back with a result? They have only won 3 times away from CT all season, beating only the bottom teams i.e. Black Aces, Swallows, and Platinum Stars.

The upcoming games against Sundowns and Chiefs will prove that Ajax cannot win the league. You have to win away as well in order to win the league.

Nope, not a big joke. Ajax is playing good quality free flowing football. Which our national team can learn and play the type of football that Ajax is playing at the moment. They have a lot of younger that must be played to gain the experience. whether we play with the current mamparas and loose or play the youngster it won;t make a difference anyway. I think a cape town sunday league team will teach our mamparas a lesson in football.

You do know that we only lost 2 games last year, right? Pitso has only lost a friendly to the USA since taking over.

Never mind this mampara. He does not even follow local football. He prefers the Cape Town Sunday league :erm:
