I cant wait for certain PS3 clique members to whip out the [sarcasm]smart and funny word play on the game's title: alan WAIT. ahahahahahhaa [/sarcasm]

the game looks great. hope it doesn't disappoint.

I also hope that the hype machine doesn't blow an average game out of proportion ... not that this is an average game :D

Remedy has always delivered a class games so I have alot of Faith in them

apparently the lighting engine is more advanced than the one crysis used and the game also incorporates realtime day/nite cycles.

Max Payne was an awesome game and one of the few that had very good replay value.

Not expecting anything different from Alan Wake..

These are old, there are better ones circulating.
But are they PC or 360 shots? :D
game looks pretty much like a Silent Hill 2 Clone in terms of setting and lighting just in next-gen format.
Still wanna know more details about it

I agree that it appears to rip a few pages out of the silent hill books i'll have my full judgement on that when the game is released though.

Usually All pc/xbox 360 games are graphically on par e.g bioshock looked almost exactly alike on both platforms, pure, ut 3 etc. so Im not worried about the 360 delivering bad gfx since it wont ! just remember the 360 gpu is an extremely impressive piece of kit !

I dunno about the rest of you but I always find preview screenshots to be a lot prettier than the real screenshots.

Killzone 2...case in point.

I think these Alan Wake screen shots is Xbox's version off the Killzone2 05 CGI trailers/screenshot debacle, only difference is killzone 2 looks like its living up to its hype, we will have to wait and see if Alan wake can do the same. I personally hope it does.

I suggest you go do a little searching, find the original KZ2 trailer and compare it to the current trailers/screenshots. The differences in graphical fidelity are massive.

KZ2 will not look like that original trailer despite how much you PS3 fanboys keeping wailing on about: "Oh, we know that Sony lied to us by saying it was being rendered in realtime, but look how "close" it's got in the 4 years since".

To compare the Alan Wake screenshots (which may very well be the PC version) to the whole KZ2 debacle is just silly

The screenshots look pretty cool, but what will it play like? Has anyone seen gameplay footage? If it's good i'll prob get the PC version, but even good gaming studios have been known to produce flops, so my judgement will be reserved until some actual hands-on impressions and reviews have been posted.....in 2012.:D

Read the FAQ on the official Alan Wake forums. They are aiming at getting the XBOX and PC versions looking as near identical as possible...

Killzone 2 E3 2005 vs Playstation Day 2008

After browsing the Gametrailers.com forum i found a decent image that shows Killzone 2 from E3 2005 against Killzone 2 from Playstation Day 2008. The results are shockingly amazing, this is very, very close.
The comparison is very close, you would need a magnifying glass to see any real difference.

Thanks to the gracious efforts at SCEE, Sony Defense Force was lucky enough to witness hands-on demonstration of the highly anticipated Killzone 2at this year’s Playstation Day in London. If you recall, Killzone 2 stunned the world with its breathtaking trailer released nearly three years ago at E3 2005. We can now safely confirm that Killzone 2 has indeed exceeded the target trailer that Sony promised us years ago by leaps and bounds.

Hahaha! You're actually quoting a site called Sony Defense Force? Talk about hand picking your sources.

If they're not just being blatantly fanboyish and actually truly believe the crap they've just said I would suggest both an eye test and some psychological help to combat the chronic lying.
