Alastair Otter is the editor of IOL online, effective from 1 April 2012.
Otter has worked in the media industry for over 20 years and was associated with numerous prominent publications including The Star, Business Report, ITWeb, MyBroadband and Sunday Independent.
Otter also previously ran his own technology publication called Tectonic which focused on Linux and open source software.
Before joining IOL, Otter was a mentor and trainer at Independent Newspapers, a freelance writer at MyBroadband and editor of his online publication Media Hack.
