How does Dark Fibre Africa's network play a part in all of this, I see on there coverage page, Alberton area is covered and live, which ISP's are using there infrastructure

There could be some - or there could be none.

They just supply the infrastructure - and then people can rent capacity on their glass.

They are digging trenches in my street. I see on DFAs site that there is fibre in Verwoerd Park about 20m from my house. Any idea if anyone is lighting up the dark fibre?

Quick update... Just spoke to the guys digging here, they are digging for Telkom and they are connecting up the church at the end of the road today or tomorrow.

Just a pity that Telkoms FTTH packages sucks ass.

Hi Guys,

I just moved to Philip Engelbrecht Avenue in Meyersdal. Telkom told me there is no ADSL (Copper) lines in the area.

Please assist me as to which would be my best option. I'm a heavy data user.

I think Telkom lied to you - I know someone who lives in a complex on that road who has DSL...

Unless there are no unused cables, which is a different story.
