I caved and stopped at Makro to see what they had.

R200 for a 24 500ml case. Decent deal. Second one freezing as we speak

They give you delivery slots, where available. They have, in my case, stuck to those agreed times with my deliveries.

Still no SAB kegs at my local on the South Cape. They had a few Jack Black and Windhoek Lager kegs but they've now sold out.

Anyone know when we're likely to get SAB beer? Lus for a Castle Lager.

BTW, they're sitting with expired kegs waiting that will be collected by SAB. Never asked, but probably won't get a credit.

They'll open new kegs now and they'll still be fine, the commercial stuff anyway. Definitely won't be served the kegs that were open before the ban, you really wouldn't be able to drink that.



Nah is all still fresh enough, SAB stuff is good for months once packaged.

SAB's Russell Hunt says beer in bottles and cans has a shelf life of 180 days (six months), while beer in a keg is only good for 56 days.
