Hello all!

i've imported .tga files into fcp, put them on the timeline, sent it to motion and added some effects. when the clip is unrendered in fcp there isn't any aliasing on the titles but when i render, it does. i've tried exporting from fcp and importing it into motion; tried bringing the file straight into motion and then exporting it as a .mov file but the aliasing still happens; also played with fixed resolution and field dominance. this project is for cinema and i can't afford to have any aliasing on the titles.
any thoughts on what settings i should use for importing .tga files and working between motion and fcp without losing any quality?

Stupid question, but is your render quality setting set to maximum?
I know Adobe Premiere has settings for working with still images, thus
far I haven't used imported stills in FCP, but you should possibly look at those
too. It could also be the deinterlace filter you're using or possibly
using in QuickTime Export. Altho you're prolly not using that.

thanks Peter!
i think my render quality is set to max. i'll check that again. i'm not using a deinterlace filter on the clips though i did try it and when i rendered the clip it lost some quality:(
i've changed the sequence setting to uncompressed 10bit 4:2:2. it seems to be doing the job. not sure if i'll have any problems if i export?
would you know where the settings for importing files sits in fcp?
