Alienware 17 R3 not booting

Try what eg2505 suggested or this:

Unplug the charger cable from the wall
Hold down the power button for 30 seconds
Plug the charger cable back in
Try Boot up

Silly question,
What happens if you remove your battery, and plug your laptop into the wall, and turn it on?
IE turn it on without the battery, only AC power?
Do you have any other adapters?

I cannot remove the battery without unscrewing the bottom of the laptop. I might try that later though.

So it turns out that there was a problem with the motherboard

Looks like it's off to Dell for some fixing.
