we have a saying that all crows are black without a exception, i used to wish Mweb is the exception one or at least a grey one, but now i really know it is just another balck crow again.

I applied for a testing account last month for one week, everything was running perfect, my new server, http, online videos all were running like fly. so i signed up with them for the 4m uncapped at the first of Feb, and they never let me down till last Saturday morning, my new server used to have speed 300k+ now is fix at all time 20-50k/s, and never changed even during the midnight 2pm. after i rebooted the router many time with 0.5 hour interval instructed by Mweb guy ( he always replied me at the first time tks, but sadness is never really helping!!!). before i sign the contract i read their promises in this forum---they never shaped, they only put http first, but i got their feedback today, they are really shaping p2p and new server, ok i think i can accept that shaping during the daytime, but they gave me a all time shaping---my new server was fixed to low speed at 20-50k all time including mid nite and weekend, that is really crazy!! i never expect mweb just gave me 10 days good time and became another black crow just as others.

So my warning is never believe their test account, never believe their promises : " we never shape any individuals"

Hi plugandplay I thought the same thing a few moths ago but the fault is not with mweb but with the free news server.
Try a paid newsserver , most people get full account speed on those or just try xsusenet for a free account so you can see that paid usenet providers offer longer retention and full account speed on uncached items like the ones you are trying to download.

Hope that helps.

holy **** what unreadable drivel is this?

I had to half-read buyeye's reply to realize plugandplay was talking about a NEWS server and not his "new server" which made no sense why he'd go for a 4mb MWEB account if he had a server with them as well and then complain about speeds...?

" we never shape any individuals"

They don't shape individuals. That is 100% true. They shape *everyone*. My torrents have been slow as hell the last few days. I accept it, I can let it run forever, whenever. If I really need something downloaded fast I just fire up one of my virtual servers in the US and HTTP download instead of "new server" or torrenting it.

Anyway... English people. It's a descriptive language. If you choose to use it to complain about ****, at least get it right.

thanks a lot, that's a paid newsserver i tried that server with Telkom account, they are running perfect, even during the first few days i was with Mweb, it was running like fly.

Oh, btw, any shaped ISP account shapes p2p..... that's how it will always be.... p2p is rather heavy on the network.

Hi plugandplay,

I see your callback with the specialist which I logged for you is still open.
You should receive a call later today with regards to your problem.
Hopefully they'll be able to get to the bottom of your problem for you as soon as possible.

Thanks Mweb guy! i received that phonecall and that technician got patience to listen my complaint and sorted it out the 40k problem, speed was back to normal since last Wednesday, this is the first time i received the phonecall from ISP, usually they are just using email, i really really appreciated it! i dont know if it my good or bad experience, but i will choose to stay with them.
