All Dstv channels open

I think it has been established in this forum that internet streaming is the way to go, as long as you have all requirements in place. So this is really a pointless thread, as rthe number of people still interested in Monochoice is rather low (i hope).

Not sure what your version of low is, but 4 of the last 7 threads relate to DSTV

Some people here actually like sport, and like to watch it in HD

They open it once in a while to give people a taste, hoping to get some upgrades I suppose.

And they made competitions now only for Premium subscribers.

I believe the open channels are switched off now.

Agreed. I only watch sport on DSTV, if I didn't have a family I'd cancel right away, but the variety of cartoons for the kids, plus the channels my wife watch makes it worth my while

I should also mention that I have an uncapped line, Netflix and Hulu so I stream when I feel like it. I'm merely mentioning this because I can afford it, but if times get tough I'd rather cancel the phone line for a while, than DSTV.

Oh my goodness yes! *turns on Dstv, flicks through every channel, switches decoder off, moves over to watch new downloaded episode of any series there may be that won't be on DStv in years.

In other words, I just proved to myself that I don't even want DStv for free.

My family prefer Hulu and other streaming services.
Everything and more.

I'll get there...eventually, but with a 7 and 4 year old its a bit tough.

Right now they just grab the remote and do their thing. With streaming, it'll be endless screaming of "Daaaaaaaddy!!!" :p

You are clearly not up to date with DStv....new series are but one episode behind the USA.

Netflix has a kids corner. You can even set it so that instead of shows, the characters from the shows are visible to be selected.
