All incoming calls = "Unknown"

So for just over the past month now every single phone call I have gotten shows up as Unknown. Doesn't matter if I have the person phoning me in my contacts or not, always shows as Unknown.

At first I was like whatever but now it's getting annoying as sometimes there are 1 or 2 people you don't want to speak to and I never know if they're calling or not. Not to mention I can't tell when some call centre is phoning me either.

I'm on Vodacom and haven't changed any settings in my phone.

Anyway to fix this?

sounds like your cli is switched off, call vodacom to check, its set from there side

Thanks for the info guys. Just phoned Vodacom and got them to activate it at a cost of R9.50 a month. Can't believe it, R9.50 a month to see who is phoning me :/ What a cheek.

Yep. But they refuse to charge the prepaid folks for that very same "service".

All the networks charge for this service.

Is this a new service though? I've been on contract for over 5 years and have never heard of CLIP before or had my incoming calls screen as Unknown.

No, it's not a new service. But, you were probably not paying for the service as it was offered free on your contract.

+1 some contracts have it built in or its free but it ben the same price (R950) as long as i can remember

thats the normal price.it supposed to be mandatory
