All rounder uncapped ADSL

Hi,

For the majority of the last year I have been using a WISP in my area for all my connectivity needs. They gave me a very specific deal with high upload speeds as a requirement.

However, I suffered greatly in other areas such as downloads, gaming and streaming. The main problem is I can't stram and download at the same time, or game and stream at the same time. I am a dedicated gamer, my wife and kids stream all their TV shows and my work requires regular up/downloads of 150-300Mb video files to cloud and streaming services.

So here's the thing; I am in the market for a uncapped ADSL connection that is reasonably priced and has good all round performance. I know uncapped, low latency and gaming don't really go in the same sentence in SA. However, I can't really see myself going on a capped acount because for the last 6months my household averaged around 500gb data usage. Which is alot and with my work I can't afford to get capped.

With a budget of R800 per month I am looking at taking the Telkom 8Mb package for R399. Now I just need the data provider.

So I need a good alrounder uncapped package that is good for streaming, up/download and gaming.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You do know that ADSL uploads suck, right? You might get 100kb/s upload if you are very lucky on that 8meg line. And that's with zero downloads running at the same time.

Fully aware of the upload limitations.

But the problem is that you have to compromise on good down speeds, to get great up speeds.

Unfortunately VDSL and Fibre is not yet available in my area so I have to stick with normal ADSL.

Most ISPs are offering free data in the wee hours on their capped accounts these days so 500GB is doable on a 8MB line if you're in a position to schedule usage.
