All the games I'm playing suck.

I cannot stress this enough: Get Guild Wars 2. There is just SO much to do and I doubt you will get bored soon. PvE, PvP, WvW, dungeons, fractals...
 
Far Cry 3 was nice and exciting on the first island but as soon as you go to the 2nd island it gets stale.

Funny thing is, I've tried out a bunch of newer MMO's and nothing quite beats WoW. It truly is a fantastic game. Just too much of a time sink.

I agree completely, although not with the games you do enjoy. One thing thats starting to piss me off? Sequels. Publishers are starting to get too scared of creating new IP's, and so take the easy route of pushing out crappy generic title 4, because they know that will sell and they can keep their investors happy. Thing is, the best games I've ever played, the one that got me most drawn in, has always been the originals. Who remembers the first mass effect? That was properly amazing at the time. By the time the third one comes though, im bored of it. Its just the same crap with a slightly different smell. They didn't improve on the what made the first so great, they just extended the experience so people who enjoyed the first would pay three times as much for the trilogy.

The people who do it properly are the ones who have always made great games, rockstar, valve, bethesda. They take their time, so that by the time you play half life 3, there truly is a new experience waiting for you. Games like mass effect 3 (fear 3, dragon age 2), are more like mass effect 1.3. Just a little bit extra so they bosses at the big can swim in a pile of money.

Maybe im jaded, but im tired of playing re-hashes of the same stuff, I want to relive the glory days when every thing was new and exciting.
 
OP should try Steet Cleaning Simulator if he wants an action packed title with an epic story and missions.
The graphics are nothing to sneeze at either, and the cinematics are drool worthy.

Dragon Age Origins is epic if you've got the patience to get into it.
Else try what others suggested. Path of Exile, Planetside 2, Dota 2

Btw, I have Dota 2 keys if someone wants.

Ex wow Player here, Yep wow kind of does that 2 you.

My Advice, get some friends and hop onto http://www.pathofexile.com/ Biggest mistake for WOW players is to approach a new game solo, you need friends that can party up with you.

HoN is just plain better than DOTA2 atm after the massive 3.0 patch. And newb friendly too...

but those guys man, the pwn too hard and take the game TOO seriously...
I understand MOBA does this, but damn people..

You know I love HoN, HideInLight.... I think you even got your HoN Beta keys from me way back when :p

I just want something that doesn't require me to take speed just to keep up with you guys, and afaik, DotA 2 is slower, so it will fit my slow ass brain better..

Street Cleaning Simulator has impacted my life beyond my wildest dreams. At first I thought this was just a game. I was wrong. Street Cleaning Simulator is a way of life. When I first played this game, I cried. The storyline is beautiful and I have devoted my life to this game. I left my wife, my kids, my dog, and my European Water Buffalo to play this game. Everyday I wake up, put in 12 hours and then allow myself to pee. I will hold it in for hours just to complete an action packed mission. Do not believe those who claim the game is unworthy, they are paid employees from Street Cleaning Simulator's rival, Ghetto Janitor Simulator, where you play as a janitor in the ghetto forced to clean bathroom after bathroom to support his wife's marijuana addiction. This game is obviously inferior because DeSean (the protagonist) has no depth to him and resembles a potato in thoughts and feelings. I leave you now hoping you feel the same urge I do to get up and play this game and never stop.

I'm ashamed to say that I just pulled a 40 hour marathon of this game, but I loved every ****ing second of it. Street Cleaning Simulator was easily the best game I have played in my entire life. There were absolutely no flaws in this game. I was the greatest sweeper to ever sit his ass in a street sweeper and sweep the streets. There's a lot of hidden depth and meaning to this game if you play through it carefully enough. You get little hints of what the world was like without street cleaners, you get hints about what the protagonist's life is like and what is was before. You discover his past as you play through the game, experiencing life in someone else's shoes. This game is a masterpiece.

Epic- day night cycles, sweeping cinematic sound track and 3rd or 1st person perspective. Bet valve are kicking themselves now for missing this one

Agreed. Ever since I got bored of WoW, I've been constantly trying to get that feeling back without much success. The first few months of playing the original release completely blew my mind. I still long for an official orignal server with the 40 man raids.
 
I have Guild Wars 2. It's alright, but it only kept me busy for about 2 weeks.

I hate MoP. I hate dailies. I hate rep grinds.

I loved Darksiders 1. Am too poor to buy Darksiders 2 atm.

But I want a game that will keep me busy for long, like FF7 or FF10 did. I'm considering Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch but I do not know.

WoW spoiled me, I played it for 5 years.

I played LoL and HoN, but the games are too serious I like PvE not PvP, PvP its just... pwning other players - I don't enjoy that at all. And with South Africa latency it is not enjoyable experience.
