All things Sunsynk (Deye, Inge, etc...)

I thought this brand deserves a thread of it's own given how many of us have them now.
So let me start off by asking...
How do I remotely manage the battery charge settings? I have a Solarman dongle and have Solarman smart and Solarman business but want to manage my battery charge thresholds. Do I need to use something else like Solar Assistant or will Solarman do it?

Ta!
Good question. Thanks

So far I've heard that 1) The app on the google play store doesn't support editing your inverter settings - it's view only. 2) There is a newer version of the app (APK file) on the solarman.cn website which can be downloaded and installed for these features. 3) You may have to request that these features are enabled by the Solarman team as they are disabled by default.

I haven't been able to confirm yet but I am very suspicious of apks that aren't on the play store. Why aren't they updating the play store app - is it because they have incorporated stuff that would fail Google's checks? Call me paranoid, but it's always Chinese firms that do this.
This is correct - there is a forumite who can also assist with granting you that access instead of requesting it from the china team. No idea why that particular app isnt on the app store tbh.

If you got Solar Assistant you would also be able to do these changes remotely

You can do it with Solarman Business, but your installer needs to request authorisation from Sunsynk support to enable it for you.

Edit: I haven't enabled it on mine due to security concerns.

The Sunsynk dongle and app supports remote setting changes out of the box.

Only need one or two microinverters for now. Have 8x400W PV panels sitting idle. Can not find it anywhere online in South Africa. Anybody please?

Does it have to be Sunsynk? I know that they have microinverter products, but I have not seen them in SA yet.

Hoymiles make a few, but I think the Geewizz were last selling them in February this year (before Durban washed away, so there's that issue).

I am in no way endorsing Hoymiles or any of these stores, but a quick google reveals:

Wantitall has Enphase microinverters:

Jup too:

I thought maybe you might PM me the name of the forumite :)
Just call your installer, he ought to have access to the support group and it is pretty quick to add you.
The problem is that these are arranged by supplier, so it depends on where you bought your Sunsynk from. If one guy keeps adding everyone's details to a particular group, then it could end up overloading the group (they are noisier than a bunch of karens on the neighbourhood whatsapp group as it is.)

Does anyone know how to disable or turn off alarms when things happen? e.g. when I unplug the battery CAN bus it beeps for 10 minutes solid even if I unplug it for one second. Would be nice to be able to shut it up.
Yes, you can turn off the alarm on a Sunsynk. Will check my screen shortly and revert.

I think I found it - settings -> basic -> display -> set beeper on / off. Don't ask me why it's under display LOL
Yes, should be it. Sorry i got caught up in work and forgot to go and check.

Yes, when I had the F34 AC Overload error that fscking beeping drove me up the walls until I found the setting.

This belongs here

Has anyone seen any specifications for the contactor required for the earth/neutral bond? It's obviously a 230V coil, but how many amps does it need to be able to carry?

Which solarman app is the best?
they have made some updates to the Home one which now allow you to do things you could only previously do on the Business. I generally don't use either preferring to use SolarAssistant but you should be able to get by with the Home one - if you need more data / info the the business one is best for you

My Deye is chugging along like a real champ! Apart from the great HA integration, I also managed to get remote control activated for Solarman Business.

Does anyone happen to know what the latest firmware version is?
