Candice McLaren Lewis from Boksburg recently took to Facebook after an alleged attempted rape and hijacking incident took place in Alexandra on 9 July.

She was in awe after the alleged suspect showed her mercy and decided to just take her cellphone and jewellery.

I grabbed his arm and told him that he may shoot me instead of raping me. For some reason he stopped my car and told me to get out. So I looked at him and said "my friend, you are my only protection right now, Im in the middle of a squatter camp. You know what will happen to me. Please Im asking you as a woman, protect me." He switched off my car, held his gun to my head and told me to get out of the car which I did. He then gave me my keys, took everything I had inside my car, my jewellery and gave me very clear directions on how to get out of Alexandra as I was right in the middle of the shacks
