Aijaijai. This is horrible. Quite right that his murderers be found and charged.

Whether the alleged thief is innocent or guilty, an independent court needs to hear the evidence and make a finding. Vigilantism is always barbaric and unacceptable.

What if the alleged thief was innocent? Now his one life is ended and his family devastated.

The full force of the law must come down on his killers.
 
We are slowly moving back to the time of chopping someone's hands off for stealing. Don't really blame the community.
 
Sign of our times sadly. Communities have had enough of the judicial system failing.

That doesn't make it okay. Everyone is pro-vigilante, until it's your innocent family member who gets killed...
People use mob violence to settle old scores, and it is easy to whip up a crowd to a frenzy with the wrong information.
 
yup totally against this kind of mob behaviour, which we often see replicated in similar ways on this forum

You don't beat someoe to death for stealing a tablet, sorry to have to break it to you.

If it was a case of armed robbery or something, then circumstances might differ.

I do agree. It is somewhat barbaric, but people are very frustrated with the police and the high crime rate. Mob justice will just increase until the police win back people's trust and I don't see that happening anytime soon.

I know, but I want the perpetrators to face trial for their crime. It's not right. I do blame the community as much as I understand the reasons, that's my point.

If they treat life that callously, what right to they have to be outraged that their lives are treated callously in return? Their actions harm the community as much as anything else.
 
The thing is, the community knows who the thieves and criminals are. A time comes when they're fed up and no longer scared or intimidated by them. :/

i guess communities are tired. thats why you find mob justice.

I in now way said it's ok.
 
Im all for the death penalty but the suspect must be tried and found guilty.
