Allergy/Bites

In the last 3 weeks my SO has been getting raised bumps on her legs whilst sleeping, can't figure out if its an allergy or an insect of some sort.

Bumps are about the size of a R1 coin and quite red, standard colour throughout. Usually about 8 in a scattered pattern, mostly below the knee.

I don't have any bites.

Have looked everywhere for the culprit, found 1 flea in the bed, however she owns 2 dogs and a cat at home, doesn't make sense that she'd only get bitten whilst visiting me.

Checked the lining of the ned for bed bugs and lifted the mattress - nothing.

Any ideas?

Love bites.

Although giving them to her below her knees is rather below the knee Drew.

Saw a very similar occurrence in the daily sun.

Probably a tokoloshe!

I would reckon it is the flea you found. Can't explain why she is not bitten at home, unless her animals are flea-free?
If you have a pet, you can get Frontline or similar for cats or dogs at the vet. Don't bother with the supermarket stuff: Bob Martin products and the like are complete rubbish.

/notices even Drew has a SO. Cries a little inside :(

Agree with bokdrol. Maybe re-look at the flea situation or maybe a spider or something of the sort?

What do you mean "Even Drew", I've always been quite popular with the ladies ^_^

I think it might be the flea - although I have 0 animals and she has 3, so why would they only bite her at my apartment. Blargh.

Oh well I'll do a thorough clean/vacuum and do the tabbard thing and see if it works

Maybe the fleas at her place are well fed with her 3 animals - and the ones at yours are HONGORZ!

This was actually her explanation, makes sense I guess, apparently fleas like animal blood more than human, she must have one heck of an allergy to them - they itch for 3 - 4 days

That's normal for flea bites. They suck. Scuse the pun.

Also, she's obviously more of an animal in bed than you? :D

They may not like your blood for some reason. Do you take meds or eat lots of garlic, perhaps?

Sounds like an allergic reaction to the fleabite. Keep your dogs and cats outside, people! They have thick fur coats for a reason!

That is just silly. There are fantastic spot-on products available at the vets. My 3 cats are indoor cats and I haven't seen a flea on them in years.
