Good morning

Is anyone using this tech for mirroring their android devices on their TV screen? How does it affect the performance of the device as opposed to using an MHL?

I have an S4, N8000 and Samsung ES5600 TV with wfi-dongle.

I see Kalahari.com has this for ~R680. Are there any non-Samsung alternatives or any other viable cost-effective options, that will also work with Android devices I may acquire later on? Is there some way to setup up screen mirroring with my existing equipment that I am missing?

I'm also looking into this, but these wireless HDMI adapters are still too expensive IMO, one might as well buy an Android HDMI PC stick... One thing that you should be able to do with your current setup is to play multimedia from your phone to your tv via UPnP/DLNA.

Thanks. Was also looking into the android stick option as well. These are also quite expensive atm. This is more of a nice-to-have so don't plan on spending too much on this. And I do use DLNA for playback, but want to also be able to play the occasional game, browse the internet etc. The TV's browser built in browser, and apps in general, are crap.

Are there any options where I don't need to root my phone?
