Sorry, but Musica is not a good place to try compare

At the end of 2007, the 360 will have over 400 titles, the PS3 will have around 150. That includes exclusives and multiplatform games.
Here's a more Thorough exclusives list.

a bit out of date but still 2:1 IGN has much better Release lists.
Look this is introspective, totally just my own justification. I get called fanboy quite often, but it's not a blind faith thing, I routed for the PS2 over the Xbox 1 for many years

I was primarily a PC gamer and I thought long and hard before making my decision, even so far as to have almost imported a Wii instead of either!
As far as those "classic games" go, there's merit there, but at the same time I find it quite refreshing to have a platform of new ip's that I've never played before, not just rehashes. For example - Gears, Crackdown, Kameo, PGR, Forza, Halo, Bioshock, Overlord, Fable etc. (I just discovered Flatout, it's mayhem, I love it

)
The question is which draws you more: nostalgia for the familiar, or a new experience? It's personal preference, I do go for the later (I generally can't listen to the same 3 CD's for more than a month or so). The PS3 does have some interesting titles: LBP, The Agency, The NCSoft Agreement, those intrigue me. But most games are cross platform anyway. But by comparison, the MGS4 video was my biggest disappointment of E3.
Then there's the "indy" factor to consider - Sacred 2, Theisis, Hydrophobia, HMM:E - The 360 appeals to developers who previously would have been PC only. And there's the RTS factor. I'm a 'casual RTSer' so I'm quite keen for things like Halo Wars. And then there's the XNA wildcard . . .
I've covered online already.
Last Thoughts . . .
*sigh* So I'll sum it up like this again, then hopefully not post here again for a while:
The PS3 isn't bad, it isn't evil, but it is very expensive and isn't particularly useful at the moment either. Paying R6600 for it
now is a waste of money, because, by your own admission, it's going to be sitting idle quite a bit, while you firstly watch TV, and secondly wait for something interesting to play. So my suggestion remains the same:
Rather spend the money on a nice 32" LCD that you'll use
all the time. With the change you can afford a 360 (
BTW $50 price cut in a week), which will give you tons to play in HiDef, while the PS3 gathers some momentum. Sure, so what if you don't get Heavenly sword, or Lair on release? (Look at what you'll have access to instead...) So you wait a year till the PS3 drops to below R4k? The games will also have time to come down in price and you can pick up all the AA '07 titles as half price classics.
You also won't have to replace your controllers when they finally introduce rumble. In the mean time you have access to a stunning 1st party 360 catalogue and the preferred console for Multi-platform releases.
That's if you decided to go back at all
That's my last word in this thread. You make up your own mind.
