Almost no international traffic

I am with webafrica and since about this morning I can't access Netflix or any other international sites. Even mybb takes forever to load. Did try to contact Webafrica through their WhatsApp support system, but they only work till 16:30.
 
I am with Frogfoot \ WebAfrica 200mb Fibre this simple ping to www.bbc.co.uk seems terrible.

Liquid Telecoms is suffering downtime since about 15:39

Webafrica, Axxess and Afrihost international is down/intermittent
 
I've been having the same issue since around 4pm on my webafrica account. And I have tried my afrihost account where the ping is also experiencing the same issues as Webafrica.

Ditto on slow issues.
Having problems on ADSL (WebAfrica) as well as Vodacom.
Connecting from Pretoria Riviera area.
 
I am still with little to no international - According to WA network status there is still a DDOS attack going on, very vague though. Not yet resolved.


"On Investigation with the upstream core engineer team, it was confirmed they are experiencing a large scale volumetric DDoS attack from international sources +50Gbps.
The upstream provider has implemented additional mitigation controls on the volumetric DDoS attack and traffic returned to normal at 22h20.
An additional attack was experienced at 00h00 engineers were able to mitigate the attack at 00h10.
Services have returned to normal, Netops engineers will continue to closely monitor the network.

Update: 28/10/2019 - Another DDoS attack has been discovered and is being investigated.
We expect this issue to be resolved by: Ongoing"

looks like it started again, I still have not received any correspondence at all about this from webafrica
 
Got reply back now from support tick from webafrica, apparently DDOS attack is still ongoing
